how to replace toyota avalon 2001 door lock activator and replace door panel properly
My boyfriend removed and replaced the activator on my 2001 toyota avalon but
can't reassemble the door panel.
not sure if this will help; but you or he, should reverse the way the panel was removed (ie replace door panel, push in the plastic retainers ( you may need to buy new ones if the old ones broke ) into the holes in the door frame- reassemble the door handle and any other items that were removed and you should be done Good Luck HTH
he was replacing the door lock activator. He took it apart one day and tried to put back together the next day and forgot where the parts go. there is a black bar with rubber around it, like the rubber on the window. Can't recALL WHERE IT FITS INTO. THE REST CAN BE DONE, BUT THAT PART'S A PROBLEM. Also having a hard time putting that plastic piece back. I need a diagram of where the parts go.
oh! oh! I got it! take off the door panel on the OTHER SIDE! he (and you help him) will see how it goes- and don't go to sleep until the whole darn mess is back together
