00 Bonneville misfire and icm problems

Asked by GuruBKNH2 Jan 10, 2019 at 02:43 PM about the 2000 Pontiac Bonneville

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Brief history- car keeps blowing icm's.  I'm on my
fourth one now.  Each time replacing coils, last one
went 6 months.  As the car sits now it has new
icm,coils,plugs,wires,fuel filter, and intake gaskets
and is still misfiring.  Checked grounds and are
good.  Thinking maybe the pcm??  Crank sensor?
This car is driving me crazy.

Yup the grounds are all cleaned up. Was wondering injectors also but for example one time running everything but 2 was misfiring, started again and 2 was misfiring like crazy. Plugs are good. Should add that fuel pressure was tested and was good. Compression was checked when I did intake and was good

Under steady acceleration in the shop I can get to 2000 rpms and then it just stalls out there.

Yes was thinking about trying crank sensor but car really has none of the common symptoms of a bad sensor. Crank sensor was replaced in 2016 and has lifetime warranty so I will give it a shot.
