Power lock taken from corolla 2009 and installed to corolla 2012

Asked by May 07, 2018 at 01:43 PM about the 2012 Toyota Corolla

Question type: Car Customization

I bought a base model Toyota Corolla 2012 CE, it
came with absolutely nothing (no AC, no power lock
or electric window, no cruise control ...) and I
bought a Toyota Corolla 2009 from an auction that
have all of the things I needed (AC, power lock,
electric windows, cruise control). I already installed
the doors and all the cables fit but for some reason
the power lock isn’t working, the windows work just
fine and I even installed the cruise control and it
work too.
My question is, is there something else I need to
change in my car for the power lock to be
functional? I did see that a cable was missing from
my 2012 car that was in the 2009 car but my friend
who has a older model did the same thing I did and
said it worked for him. The controller worked just
fine in the 2009 Corolla but isn’t working in my 2012
Corolla.
