recomended tires for my 2001 Tiburon are 195 55 15, can I run 195 65 15 instead?

If you have room for the extra height then yes. The 65 series tire will be about 19mm taller, so as long as you have 9.5mm of clearance when the suspension is compressed then you'll be fine.

I'm rolling on 205 Perelli P7000's on 17inch rims and I found that the car has lots more traction in the wet and with the lower profile tyre it feels more solid on straight line speeds
