Car Part Replacement

Asked by Jul 31, 2016 at 02:39 PM about the 2003 Hyundai Elantra

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car has died on me and was dripping fuel
back by the gas tank behind the back driver tire
and the next day my car started up and drove it
back home. Now my car will drive but has lost
alot of power and the RPMs are low and acts
like it's going to die. I have had a few people
say it is more than likely my fuel filter and I
called to price one and was told I have to buy
the whole fuel pump that I can't replace just the
fuel filter. Is that correct??

Some time the foul filter is part of the pump inside the tank so yes. That may be true for ur car
