My brake peddle will not return on its own. I've got good pressure in my brake system but
the peddle will not recoil on its own, i have to pull it back with my hands. any help or tips
on this would be greatly appreciated!

Most likely a broken return spring inside the master cylinder, at one time you use to be able to get a kit for the master cylinder and it contained the return springs, but you will probably have to replace the master cylinder, if you have to replace the master cylinder make sure you bench bleed the unit really good.
