Fuel/Gas gauge

Asked by Sep 22, 2011 at 08:06 PM about the 2003 GMC Yukon XL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Has anyone had fuel gauge go out? My instrument  panel says low fuel and the gas needle won't go above the "E".   It is a Yukon xl 2003, just hit 160,000 on miles.  Could it be the gas cap?

Pump, fuel pump. I had the same problem with my 2001.
