fan blower motor ac 2000 mustang
Smoke blew out my vents & hood & fan quit blowing. Smelt like a belt burning.
Do I have to take the dash apart to replace. The blower motor
If you had smoke coming out of the vents and from under the hood, that's not due to a defective blower motor. You have a problem under the hood. It might be a worn/slipping belt or it might be worse, but the blower motor isn't it. After you fix the smoking problem and the blower continues to not operate, you should first look to see if wires got burned. Then look at the blower fuse, relay, resistor, etc.
