Service 4 wheel drive light is on and transmission won't engage on my 2001 Dodge Durango

Check the fluid level on both tranny and t-case, could be time for a new filter and fluid for trany and new fluid for the t-case. Could also check if the 4wd switch in the dash is properly connected. Hope that it is not time for trany rebuild or a new t- case.
