2004 Chrysler Pacific won't shift out of park

Check to see if the brake lights work, if not that maybe your problem as the shifter lockup is activated by the brake light switch, so either a bad switch or a blown fuse. There should also be a override close to the shifter that you use the key to activate. there should be information on this in your owners manual.

I turn my key on and put my gear shift back into park and it seems to start again.
