1977 Ford Ranger XLT Headlights

I have a 1977 Ford Ranger XLT and one headlight is more dim than the other.
This is gonna sound dumb but I'm sixteen so bear with me. Do I have to replace
the headlights or the bulbs inside. I'm in love with the boxy look and the engine,
have no idea about maintenance though.
