1970 Ford F100 not getting fuel

Asked by jtsipes Jul 13, 2016 at 11:16 AM about the 1970 Ford F-100

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1970 Ford F100 isn't getting fuel. Replaced the
carb and it will run for a good few miles then bog
out and die. Plenty of gas in it too. Ideas?

If it is hot outside it could be vapor locking. Some aluminum foil wrapped around the fuel line to the carb might help. Also the mechanical fuel pump may need to be replaced.

Check for a collapsing rubber gas line back by the gas tank.
