Question type: Maintenance & Repair

HI there,
i recently broke my car fob that opens the central locking on my car.
I purchased a new fob and was told by my garage i require a four digit security code to programme the fob.
I told my garage to get the code but they said they cant get only the radio code.
My car is a opel vectra b cdx 1996 japanese import.
The car is only central locking not alarmed.
Please can anyone advise me where i can get the code or my garage or even the car pass card.

regards howard hall

You could try contacting GM & give them your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). If I remember correctly Opel was, at one time, a division of Buick. Since Bui k is a division of GM they may have the records you need. HTH. -Jim
