Honda Civic 2008 High RPM

Asked by Dec 08, 2013 at 04:59 AM about the 2008 Honda Civic

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Honda Civic 2008 automatic transmission. Yesterday I was driving over the road and i heard a sudden increase in the RPM. I stopped changed the shfts to P and then D again, and since then when i press the gas the RPM jumps to 2 and then goes down slowly, it can icrease to 3 when i press more. The car shifts fine with reference to the speed, however, the RPM is relatively high compared to the speed. Whats going on Guys??

Check the fluid level if its not low then you may have a dirty filter or clutch that is slipping
