In contrast, the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E maintained its distinctive and sharp styling, with an aggressive front fascia and signature tri-bar tail lights. The new Rally trim, which replaced the GT as the top-of-the-line model, featured unique styling cues like LED fog lamps, a black roof, and Oxford White 19-inch wheels. The GT trim offered 20-inch wheels and a new Bronze Appearance Package. Inside, the Mach-E continued with its minimalist dash and large touchscreen, with Ford Performance front seats now standard on the GT and Rally trims.

The 2023 Nissan Rogue switched to a new turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with a variable compression design, producing 201 horsepower and 225 pound-feet of torque. This engine was paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and offered front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive. The Rogue featured Eco, Auto, and Sport driving modes, with additional Off-Road and Snow modes for AWD versions. Despite its responsive performance in urban settings, the Rogue lacked passing power on the highway and had some issues with engine noise and vibration. The EPA estimated fuel economy at 31 mpg combined, but our test vehicle averaged 28.9 mpg.

The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E, particularly in its GT trim, offered a sporty driving experience with a firm ride and tight steering. The GT Performance Upgrade package increased torque to 700 lb-ft, resulting in a 0-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds. The Mach-E also featured a new, lighter-weight rear eMotor, improving torque and range. The base Mach-E with standard-range battery and rear-wheel drive had an EPA-estimated range of 250 miles, while the Premium trim with extended-range battery and rear-wheel drive offered up to 320 miles. The GT and Rally trims, with all-wheel drive, had ranges of 280 and 265 miles, respectively.

The 2023 Nissan Rogue provided a practical and comfortable interior, with features like a triple-zone automatic climate control system, a dual-panel panoramic sunroof, and premium leather upholstery. The Mach-E provided ample headroom and legroom for both front and rear passengers, with power-adjustable seats and synthetic ActiveX upholstery. Heated front seats were available on the base trim and standard on higher trims.

The 2023 Nissan Rogue featured an older infotainment system with an 8-inch or 9-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, satellite radio, wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, and a navigation system. The test vehicle also had a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation display and a head-up display. However, the Alexa Built-in system was unreliable during testing, struggling with basic voice commands.

The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E came standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, operating through a 15.5-inch touchscreen with the latest SYNC 4A software. The system included Ford’s Intelligent Range feature, which provided real-time range updates based on various factors. The Mach-E's infotainment system was user-friendly, though some screen-based controls could be improved for better user experience.
