Jeep's 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe continued the brand's tradition of blending heritage with modernity. The iconic seven-slot grille returned, now with active shutters for improved aerodynamics and fuel efficiency. The Grand Cherokee 4xe was available only as a two-row, five-passenger SUV, with trim levels including the base 4xe, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve. The Overland trim, in particular, featured leather seats, wood and metal accents, and heated and ventilated front seats, though it also had an abundance of hard plastic materials.

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator received subtle styling updates, including new headlights, taillights, and a redesigned front end. The interior dazzled with quality materials and a mid-century modern design, featuring Lincoln’s Constellation instrumentation and infotainment display theme. The new Sync 4 infotainment system with a 13.2-inch touchscreen display was a significant upgrade. The Navigator was available in Standard, Reserve, and Black Label trims, with the Black Label offering luxurious features like heated, ventilated, and massaging second-row captain’s chairs.

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe featured a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine and a 400-volt, 17-kWh battery pack, delivering 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The Grand Cherokee 4xe had two off-road systems: Quadra-Trac II and Quadra-Drive II, with the latter providing more aggressive off-road capabilities. However, its towing capacity was limited to 6,000 pounds.

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator retained its twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine, producing 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. It had a towing capacity ranging from 8,100 to 8,700 pounds, depending on the configuration. The Navigator featured an adaptive-damping suspension with Road Preview, which prepared the suspension for bumps and potholes. The new electronic brake booster improved brake pedal feel and response. The Navigator’s fuel economy was rated at 18 mpg in combined driving.

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, unlike its gas-powered counterpart, was not available with a third row of seats. However, it offered ample space for passengers, with cargo space expanding from 37.7 cubic feet to 70.8 cubic feet when the second row was folded down. The available air suspension provided a quick-down function for easier loading and unloading.

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator’s interior featured exceptionally comfortable 30-way power-adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The second-row captain’s chairs also offered heating, ventilation, and massage. The third-row seat provided roomy accommodations. The Navigator’s cargo space ranged from 19.3 cubic feet behind the third row to 103.3 cubic feet with the second row folded down, with even more space available in the long-wheelbase Navigator L.

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe came with the Uconnect 5 infotainment system, featuring a customizable interface and a 10.25-inch digital driver information display. A 10.25-inch front-passenger display was standard on the base trim but optional on the Overland and Summit trims. The Grand Cherokee 4xe also offered optional dual rear-seat entertainment screens and a 19-speaker McIntosh stereo, which was standard on the Summit Reserve trim.

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator introduced the Sync 4 infotainment system with a 13.2-inch touchscreen display. The system supported Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and featured a user-friendly interface.
