2022 BMW X3 Reviews Summary

Since its inception in 2003, the BMW X3 has grown to become one of the brand’s top sellers. And starting with its second generation (circa 2010), the luxury compact crossover has been built at BMW Spartanburg—the automaker’s only United States manufacturing facility. Incidentally, because Spartanburg is the global producer of every gas-powered BMW crossover besides the X1 and X2, the plant also boasts the highest production numbers of any BMW plant worldwide. One can speculate that the popular X3 has a lot to do with that.

Last redesigned for 2018, the X3 receives a rather hefty mid-cycle refresh for 2022. Although the xDrive30e plug-in hybrid has been dropped from the lineup, updates to the remaining models include design tweaks, new engines, more technology, and an expanded suite of safety features.

2023 Lexus RX Reviews Summary

If you scrub electric-only Teslas from the list, the Lexus RX is the best-selling luxury vehicle in America. The model first went on sale about 25 years ago, and it has cultivated a loyal following with people who aspire to own a reliable, refined, safe, and stylish luxury crossover SUV. To say the redesigned 2023 Lexus RX represents the mother of all risk/reward scenarios is an understatement. But based on a day driving numerous versions of the new 2023 RX, we’d say Lexus has struck the right balance with its latest two-row midsize SUV.

2023 Lexus RX

7/10

The 2022 BMW X3 was available in four variants, with the sDrive30i being the only rear-wheel-drive model, while the others were all-wheel-drive. The exterior design was slightly more aggressive, featuring a larger kidney grille and a black sensor bar for a unique look. The adaptive full LED headlights were slimmer, and the taillights had a new design with a black surround and claw-shaped brake light LEDs. The rear was updated with larger exhaust tips and a new bumper, complemented by new paint options and aerodynamically optimized wheels. The interior was well-appointed with dark oak wood trim, power-adjustable front sport seats, and a panoramic moonroof. The X3 offered various interior color choices and ambient lighting options, creating a comfortable and customizable environment.

The 2023 Lexus RX was shorter in height, broader in width, and had a longer wheelbase, offering more cargo space than its predecessor. The exterior design featured a spindle-style grille, upswept body sides, and a light-blade taillight design. The RX maintained a familiar yet fresh look, distinct from the smaller Lexus NX. Inside, the RX had a modern interior with fewer buttons, digital instrumentation, and a touchscreen display. The quality was high, with options for NuLuxe artificial leather or genuine leather. The RX was available in several trims, including hybrid options, and was expected to maintain a similar price point to the previous model.
