It stands out as a comfortable, practical midsize SUV that leans toward everyday usefulness, with a reinforced body for a smoother ride and up to 84.3 cubic feet of cargo space when the seats are folded down. It also fits well if you want a family vehicle with broad standard equipment, including an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, and Toyota Safety Sense. The market also shows 37.5% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Toyota Highlander reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Highlander’s overview emphasizes comfort, practicality, safety, and easy ownership, which are all traits that usually matter when you plan to keep a vehicle for a while. Its broad standard equipment and family-friendly layout also support a low-stress ownership experience.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright complexity and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and still matches your space and driving needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Highlander?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report to confirm there are no hidden accident or title issues, even if the listing looks clean. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the interior, cargo area, and third row so you can judge wear, usability, and whether the vehicle still fits your family needs.

Because the Highlander is valued for comfort and practicality, pay close attention to ride quality, cabin condition, and how well the features work during a test drive.

What is the 2024 Toyota Highlander's resale value?

The current average of $38,918 sits slightly above last year's $38,709.

That small increase suggests the Highlander has held its value well enough to avoid a sharp drop, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. Stable pricing also points to steady demand, especially for a family SUV with broad appeal and strong practicality.

Because the market has remained relatively consistent, a well-kept example should be easier to position competitively when it is time to trade or sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 is a strong choice if you want a comfortable, practical, and well-liked Highlander with stable pricing and decent deal availability. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2024 gives you a balanced mix of market stability and owner approval.
