Used 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty for Sale nearBaltimore, MD

How much does the 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty cost?

Prices have softened 6.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,778 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of trucks to compare.

Is the 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty earns a 4.75/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Form and function.

Drivers consistently praise its power, comfort, and towing capability, and many also like the smooth transmission and strong diesel engine. Those themes line up with the truck’s core mission: serious capability with enough everyday usability to broaden its appeal beyond pure work duty.

The trade-offs are clear, though. The ride quality is not as polished as some heavy-duty rivals, and the interior materials feel cheap.

For you, that means this truck makes the most sense if you value strength, towing, and hauling over cabin polish. The market also shows 32.3% good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in the ways that matter most for heavy-duty ownership: strong power delivery, comfort, and towing confidence. Drivers also mention the smooth transmission and strong diesel engine, which supports the idea that this is a truck you can count on for demanding use.

The expert evaluation reinforces that long-haul character, noting that these trucks are built for serious work and designed for the long haul. The cost-effectiveness commentary also suggests these trucks are intended to stay in service for years, whether that means a used buyer getting plenty of hard-working life or a long-term owner keeping one in the driveway for decades.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the truck’s core capability and more about how hard it was worked before you buy it.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty?

At 71.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck was used for towing, hauling, or job-site duty. Pay close attention to signs of wear in the suspension, cabin materials, and any equipment that may have seen heavy use.

Focus on whether the truck’s condition matches its asking price and trim level, since these trucks can vary a lot in equipment and wear.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The XL is the most basic work-truck version, with a black grille, black bumpers, steel wheels, vinyl upholstery, and a small in-dash screen. Higher trims add more comfort and convenience, with the XLT bringing cloth seating, power doors and locks, satellite radio, and an 8-inch touchscreen, while the Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited add progressively more upscale materials and features.
• Powertrain: You get a standard 6.2-liter gasoline V8, an available 7.3-liter gas V8, or an available 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8. The gas engines use a 10-speed automatic, while the diesel uses a six-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive with low range is optional.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes front- and side-impact airbags, trailer sway control, hill start assist, and AdvanceTrac traction control with roll stability control. Available driver-assistance features include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera system. Advanced safety features are not standard.
• Infotainment: The base truck gets a 2.3-inch in-dash screen, while the XLT adds an 8-inch SYNC 3 touchscreen. SYNC 3 includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and FordPass Connect is standard across the lineup with a WiFi hotspot and smartphone-based remote functions.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA does not require heavy-duty pickups to post fuel-economy estimates.

Which 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty trim should I buy?

The 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty is offered in 6 trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the work-focused starting point, with vinyl upholstery, a small screen, and basic equipment that keeps the truck affordable and functional. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the Super Duty lineup and do not need much luxury or tech.
• XLT: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds cloth seating, power accessories, satellite radio, SYNC 3, and an 8-inch touchscreen without jumping into luxury-truck pricing. If you want a more livable daily driver, this is the trim to target.
• Lariat: This trim adds a more upscale cabin with leather front seats, power-adjustable front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. It is a strong choice if you want a better balance of comfort and capability.
• King Ranch: This trim leans into a distinctive upscale look and feel with saddle leather, unique stitching, heated-and-cooled front seats, navigation, remote start, and a heated steering wheel. It suits you if you want a premium truck with a more distinctive personality.
• Platinum: This trim adds a more luxurious presentation with ambient lighting and massaging seats, along with a more premium exterior treatment. It is for buyers who want the Super Duty to feel as upscale as possible.
• Limited: This is the top luxury choice, adding the most premium cabin treatment and a twin-panel moonroof. It makes sense if you want the most fully equipped version and are willing to pay for it.

The safety content also notes that advanced safety features are not standard, so if those matter to you, prioritize a trim or configuration that includes them.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,778 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,031, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty's resale value?

The current average of $41,281 sits slightly below last year's $43,952.

That decline suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also temper what you recover later if you sell. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that pricing has already moved down, so holding out for a strong resale number may be harder than it was a year ago.

Even so, trucks with strong capability and broad appeal tend to stay in demand, especially when they have a reputation for power and usefulness. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include front- and side-impact airbags, trailer sway control, hill start assist, and AdvanceTrac traction control with roll stability control. Available driver-assistance features include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera system.

A key caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you may need to shop a higher trim or a better-equipped example to get the full suite you want. The truck also has not been tested by NHTSA or IIHS.

Should I buy a 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a new 7.3-liter gas V8 and Tremor off-road package options.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $36,157, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $41,281 average.
• It blends heavy-duty capability with everyday comfort.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $46,115, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $41,281 average.
• It expands the Super Duty lineup with broad trim and cab flexibility.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of capability, market availability, and softened pricing, the 2020 is the primary year to target. If your budget is tighter, the 2019 is the better value play, while the 2021 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer model-year alternative.
