Why it stands out
The 2017 Toyota Highlander stands out in the crowded crossover SUV market due to its comfortable interior, strong performance, and a host of standard safety features that appeal to families. The Highlander has received notable updates this year, including the introduction of a more powerful 3.5-liter V6 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission, which enhances both responsiveness and fuel efficiency. Buyers will appreciate the standard Toyota Safety Sense package, which encompasses various advanced safety technologies, including adaptive cruise control and lane-departure warnings. Additionally, the new SE trim adds a sporty edge with its retuned suspension and distinctive styling features. Nicest car I’ve ever owned! Beautiful color, absolutely loaded with options. Comfortable, great power, handles well in snow. Easy access to third row with captains’ seats in second row. Easy to operate radio/clock/blue tooth. It’s similar to Honda Pilot, but maybe a bit smaller. I traded in a Honda CRX and found Highlander just as easy to drive and park. Excellent value.
