Used 2023 Toyota Highlander for Sale nearCharlotte, NC

How much does the 2023 Toyota Highlander cost?

Prices have softened 3.51% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,154 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Toyota Highlander a good car?

Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the 2023 Highlander’s overview backs that up with a clear focus on comfort, versatility, and everyday usefulness. It is positioned as a practical midsize SUV with strong utility, up to 84.3 cubic feet of cargo space, and standard tech and connectivity features that make it easy to live with. If you want a family SUV that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and convenience over driving excitement, this model year fits that use case well. 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Toyota Highlander reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview emphasizes a reputation for reliability, along with standard safety equipment and a comfort-first design that should appeal to practical buyers. Its straightforward feature set and family-oriented mission also suggest a vehicle built to handle daily use without much drama. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about complexity and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by heavy family-duty mileage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Toyota Highlander?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, since a clean listing percentage does not replace a full record of prior damage or repairs. Put the inspection focus on overall condition, especially signs of interior wear, cargo-area use, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Because this model is aimed at family duty, it is worth paying close attention to how the cabin, controls, and seating surfaces have held up.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Toyota Highlander?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,154 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.51% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,301, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Toyota Highlander's resale value?

The current average of $34,987 sits slightly below last year's $36,260.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also suggests future sellers may need to be realistic about asking prices. Even so, the Highlander’s practical reputation and broad appeal should help it stay relevant in the used market. A model with strong demand from family buyers and a reputation for usefulness tends to hold attention better than a less versatile SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $32,093, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $34,987 average.
• It emphasizes the basics buyers need most.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced shopping target, the 2023 is the stronger all-around pick because it combines a softer price trend, solid inventory, and strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better value path, especially if you find one in excellent condition and can live with its older setup.
