At 59.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Should I buy a 2014 Toyota Tacoma or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.87% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $20,248, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $19,364 average.
• It adds a limited-production TRD Pro trim with stronger off-road focus.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2014 if you want a well-liked Tacoma with strong value and a lower average price. If you’re willing to spend more for a more trail-focused personality, the 2015 is the better secondary path.
