Why it stands out
The 2014 Toyota Highlander marks a significant evolution in design and capability for Toyota's crossover lineup. Gone are the days of the unremarkable vanilla appearance; the new Highlander flaunts athletic styling with pronounced lines and an aggressive front fascia. This model excels in its spacious interior, which is both functional and comfortable, offering a cavernous center console and sliding second-row seats that facilitate easy access to the third row. In terms of performance, the optional V6 engine provides a solid 270 horsepower, striking a commendable balance of power and efficiency for daily driving, especially when compared to the outdated I4 options. Notably, the Highlander is equipped with a robust all-wheel-drive system, enhancing its versatility for weekend adventures or adverse weather conditions. Combined with its suite of safety technologies, this model genuinely offers an attractive package for families seeking reliability and functionality in a crossover.

Overall the experience of driving the vehicle is fantastic. The higher seating above a sedan car makes this a pleasant ride in any weather enabling the driver to see far ahead when driving in heavy traffic. It has enough air bags to float a tank.

Our Limited AWD is a very solid car that we expect to drive for a long time. Very comfortable seats. The space is easily configured for people or cargo. Love the shelf under the dash!

Overall... excellent vehicle. Front row and 2nd row seats adjust to accommodate most drivers/riders. I did alot of shopping around before I made my purchase and what I found is that the Highlander is really the best value for the money. The interior is very nice... not cheap looking as compared to some other mid-size SUVs which were actually more expensive.

The car feels solid, that’s what I was looking for. The downside is that the seats are uncomfortable and the mirrors don’t fold in.
