Battery light

My battery light came on a few days ago and it
finally left me stranded, so I replaced the battery
and now the dash battery light won't go off??

Battery light on means a problem with the charging system, not the battery itself. Have the car tested to see if the alternator is charging properly. You can do a quick test yourself if you have a volt or multimeter. With the car on, probe the battery terminals, positive and negative and see if you can read 14V . Anything significantly lower would mean a charging issue.
