Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok so i changed a bad water pump because
it was leaking big time on my car and i
tested the thermostat with boiling water and
it works. After i put it all back togeather i
took it for a test drive and it was good at
first so i speed up to 60 to see if it would
heat up at higher speeds and as soon as i
speed up the temp gage started going to hot
i stopped to check if the car was leaking but
it was not. So i got in to drive home and this
time when i stepped on the gas the gage
would go to the middle and when breaking
to h. I Only filled the radiator to a lil over half
but i doubt that would be the cause. The
fans work also. Any ideas what it could be or
what i can try to do to fix it?

Assuming your pump is working. There might be air in the system. Or maybe your radiator is damaged or inefficient.
