Distributor cap arching

My cap was cracked and arching so I replaced it. 3
days later it’s cracked again in the same spot and
arching again

I would look for a sharp point on the distributor where the crack appeared. Something is stressing the cap.

make sure you replace the rotor button it might be cracked and then causes a bind and cracks the cap , Also check hat the distributer shaft doesn't have any play in it
