Hello. I have a 1997 Saab 900S. It shut off on the highway. Re-started on the side of the road.

I have a 1997 Saab 900S. It shut off on the highway,but re-started on the side of the
road. Ran rough,but ran for a day or so. Shut it off one evening,and wont start in the
morning. Cranks fine,but no start. Distributor cap and rotor in very poor shape.Replaced
cap and rotor,still no start. There is no spark. Do these cars have a common failure such
as this,to help me start somewhere? Thank you!
