Can someone give me directions on changing out the ignition on a 1995 explorer?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The ignition key is getting stuck. How do I replace it? Thank you!

If the key still turns the ignition, you have to take off the shrouding on the steering column. Then turn the key, while pushing on a pin located on the underside of the housing which houses the cylinder(circled in yellow), until you feel the pin retract. Then pulloutward away from the column and the whole assembly will just slide right out.
