Serpentine belt

I had a lower radiator hose replacement and the
serpentine belt had to be removed. After the
repairs  were completed the car was driven. I'm not
sure how long it was driven but the engine began
to fail. Severe overheating, very low oil pressure, . It
ran like a top before. What happened?
