Will a bad EGR cause your car to lose a lot of power and cause the car to bog down and buck when you floor it?

Asked by bonne01 Jun 14, 2013 at 07:54 PM about the 2001 Pontiac Bonneville SLE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've recently bought a Bonneville SLE and it doesn't have any power now.I had it tested and it came back as misfiring, fuel control sensor out of calibration, check for air leaks in exhaust manifold,HO2S failed, low fuel pressure, injectors restricted or pressure regulator failed and vacuum hose broken, leaking or loose.

take it off...blast it clean with some bra-kleen, note the operation and replace butyl rubber hoses with silicone ones~ re-assemble replacing any leakin' old hoses and restore proper operation~
