Is there an interior fuse for a 97 thunderbird lx for the transmission. My Overdrive light keeps coming on

Overdrive light comes on. I have plenty of trans fluid. Delayed shifting too.

Over drive like on means there is a faulty with the transmission, no fuse. Since your having slipping, have your local mechanic scan for the trans codes and make a repair.

Even though you have "plenty" of trans fluid doesn't mean it is good. I don't know how old it is but maybe it needs to be changed and filter screen replaced. Also, if it has been driven like this for a long time it may require a trans overhaul.
