Ford Taurus Weird Behavior

Asked by Jan 20, 2016 at 05:27 PM about the 1997 Ford Taurus GL Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 97 Ford Taurus has been doing some weird things as of late.  When I put it
into drive the radio goes off, the power windows won't, windshield wipers only
work on the highest speed and the power steering does not work.  any ideas
what it could be?

The electrical issues might be related to a ground or wiring issue, the power steering is hydraulic, check to see if you have fluid/Trans fluid is used, in the reservoir. If the fluid is good, then the pump might be faulty, common issue on the Taurus.
