Hi there guys n gals I'm trying to find out if
anyone can help I've recently replaced my
water pump n timing belt n thermostats n
harmonic balancer as well as fuel pump ,
filter , sending unit and relay and tps
sensor with in the month lol ... But any who
my timing since I bought it has always
been weird my top dead center is #1 spark
but it sits at my #2 plug spot on distributor
so when my timing belt was replaced it
was done to directions and my car slowly
started to have trouble starting after and
now it doesn't want to start ?? Does
anyone know what should I put the timing
at to fix it ?
Should be on the #1 plug when top dead center,
How would I go about getting the #1 to fall onto #1 plug on cap it's always been at # 2 I even put a new engine and was #1 at #2 plug on cap n no problem with start up or driving until I changed out timing belt and harmonic balancer n water pump ? Since then it's been harder to start n now even harder :(
Reset the distributor,to the number one at top dead center,Pull the distributor up and rotate it to the number one on cap with engine at top dead center.
Do you mean I should rotate the rotor to the #1 spot on cap?
Yes,but only do this when it is dead top center, timeing marks, dead on,
Ok so the timings correct but would you have any insight on why it's hard to turn on when engine cold I live in Texas so it's not really cold .. It's gotten harder to turn on ?
Once it finally starts it runs like nothing is wrong it's smooth n hesitates or jerks
