I need to reconnect the driver side wiper arm. how do I do this

Usually you remove the plastic cap on the arm, from the outside of the vehicle. It doesn't look like it will come off, but a little screwdriver and some prying, under that is a nut that works itself loose, put some blue loctite on it before tightening.
