Problem I don’t know about

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 Nissan Maxima SE and the car shifts fine
while the transmission fluid is cold (the isn’t heated up all
the way) But after a while when it gets hot i don’t know if
it’s called slipping.. but I feel like a push when it shifts I
don’t know what it is.. someone told me solenoids but I
wanna be sure someone please help!!!

First I would check and make sure your fluids are full and are not burnt it should be a bright red color similar to a Coca-Cola can if everything is OK there then yes I would check solenoids if those are also fine I would say add or make sure it’s not clogged if you already have one but add a transmission fluid cooler it is similar to a radiator or if you already have one it’s going to be part of your radiator. Also take into consideration how many miles are on it if it has a lot of miles it’s best just to replace the transmission

I had a similar issue with an old Jeep Cherokee of mine it would slip and it would jump from a stop but my problem was the input shaft seal on the driveshaft it was leaking fluid
