Why it stands out
The 2019 Nissan Maxima continues to strengthen its reputation as a premium midsize sedan with powerful driving dynamics and elegant design, making it appealing to discerning buyers. It is powered by a robust 3.5-liter V6 engine, producing 300 horsepower, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) for smooth acceleration and efficient highway cruising. The Maxima's interior is a standout feature, showcasing soft materials, premium finishes, and comfortable seating designed to reduce fatigue on long drives. While its performance is generally praised, some drivers report issues with fuel economy and handling precision, particularly with the steering feel, which could detract from its sporty ambitions. Nonetheless, with a solid safety record and an updated technology suite that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the 2019 Maxima proves itself as a sophisticated choice on the road.

Excellent power, especially in sport mode. Fuel economy is on the low end with lots of city driving. Good fit and finish; doesnt feel cheap. The leather seats are plush, but durable. Good noise level at high speeds. Very little vibration on rough roads. Odd rattle in the back which sounds like a loose seat lock, but the seats are secure. Rear factory tint is bubbling after 2.5 years.
