what could cause my car to misfire at sign light/signs and run hot?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have had major issues with my radiator not flowing correctly, the car seems to misfire at stop signs and red lights. It has died on me many times. I've flushed the engine and radiator but there was white foam/bubbles coming out of the top of it while the car was running. The gauge inside the car never shows it running hot but when the hood is open you can feel the heat coming off of the engine. I've purchased a new thermostat, spark plugs, avc valve, new mass air flow sensor, and a radiator and water pump. what should I do??? Please help me...

Most likely a Blown Head gasket (if I read it correctly) ... check your oil, it may look like an emulsion ,,, if not fixed soon your engine will self destruct

As soon as I am driving and get up some speed it works fine, so I don't think that is the issue. I would have oil in my water if I had a blown head. I'm almost sure its the water pump and a bad radiator. It only misfires and jerks while at a stop or idling.

Since the oil pressure is usually higher than the coolant you may see oil in the coolant before coolant in the oil. When the engines hot and running ... put your hand close to the exhaust to see if you get moisture. It's essential that the radiator cap holds a minimum of 7 PSI or the coolant may boil
