My security chip on my ford escort 97' has been stolen and I cant drive without it?

How do I get around this issue? cutting wires? or where do I find replacement chip?

I assume your talking about your key. You should always have a backup. If you had 2 extra you could program one yourself. But the only two place that can help you is a locksmith or your local Ford Dealer. There is no way to hot wire.
