I have 2003 Mitshubishi Outlander. Replaced the battery 2 weeks ago. Car ran for 2 days then died. Took to Mechanic and tried to replicate problem. No go. We changed the Starter switch. Car was running fine for a week. Went to start today and battery dead. Any suggestions.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Battery died 2 weeks ago Changed car worked fine for 2 days then died again. Brought to mechanic and he tried to repicate problem. The only thing i heard was that the fan didn't go off after turning off ignition. We replaced the ignition switch we thought that may be it. Car ran great for a week. Went to start it today and dead. Any other suggestions to look for?

Did you find help to your problem? I have an 03 Outlander and battery was 80%, but would not hold a charge so we replaced battery. Car was fine that day, next day the new battery was dead. Alternator has check out ok. Any ideas?

Since alternator was good and new battery also drained it sounds like the connection. Assuming a shop installed the new battery id say it's the actual terminals/wiring.
