Are 2005 mitubishi convertibles good cars

I think Mits are good cars but not as good as other Japanese brands. Keep in mind you are talking about a 12 year old car with unknown history. It might be good, it might be a disaster - who knows? Have a good mechanic check it out top to bottom and don't pay too much!
