just rep[laced water pump and timing belt, car starts fine and idles good but there is no throttle response when i put it in gear. anyone that can help?

Throttle cable detached?

no its fine, no vacuum leaks either

Does the car move at all? All gears including reverse? Auto or Manual?

car is an automatic, in gear it moves very little if at all with the gas pedal floored. in park it slowly revs up if throttle is floored and slowly increases in rpms. not so in any gear. thanks for the help

Strange. Your timing markers check out good after replacing the timing belt?
