if my abs light comes on and off can it be tested if light is out

the abs light is on and off and the mountaineer slips when stopping why

you can use a car diagnostic tool to find the code and it should tell you what side it is doing it. in most newer makes and models a failing wheel bearing can cause the abs light to come on. but for starters check the codes, then move on to checking the sensors and wireing. and from there if you can't find an issue replace the hub thats causing the issue
