Where is the thermostat located in a 2001 Mercury Sable 24v engine

Oops. I meant to say that the thermostat is in that plastic housing, under the water pump, on the driver's side of the engine. Just follow the correct hose from the radiator. It's pretty hard to reach so make sure before replacing it. Many times engines overheat because of fans not coming on.
