Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have replaced the Dorman Water Outlet, but the temperature gauge is still
reaching  hot. Is it the thermostat?

It could be however you may have a bad Head gasket. Any of your better auto parts retail stores have a block tester that is used for checking head gaskets.GIVE THIS SIMPLE TEST TO PERFORM A TRY!
