My SUV will not start.

Asked by Aug 11, 2016 at 11:26 AM about the 2004 Mercury Mountaineer Convenience AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Okay so I have checked the battery, it's
good, checked the starter, it's good. The
lights come on when I try to turn it on. It
won't turn over at all. It makes a click noise
when I turn the key and that's it. Not sure
what to check next, the security system,
which I have no clue how to reset, or the
ignition switch which I also have no clue
how to do.
