what is the incredible metalic grinding noise that i can actually feel on the floorboard when starting my ls. The second it starts, the noise stops and it runs perfect after that

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

im not sure if this is the starter going bad or the flexplate but it sounds
hellacious , although even though i think its the last time it will start, it still
starts and then run normal

I would look into those areas you mentioned. Also look under the car to see if anything is loose and contacting the body.
