2004 Kia Sorento

Stuck in AWD (not 4 low) When turning sharp its grabbing and sounds rough.
I repeat it is not stuck in 4 low.

Sounds like you may have a problem with the AWD clutch in the transfer case, I'm not sure about Kia but other models when this clutch goes bad the AWD is lock into full time drive so you get a bucking action on turns, the sharper the turn the more bucking, sometimes it can even cause the tires to make slipping or a barking sound, this is very hard on the vehicle not to mention the tire wear. Have it checked professionally, you may have to get the transfer case overhauled.
