How can I make my window roll up and down?

Asked by Luis Mar 29, 2015 at 10:06 PM about the 1995 Honda Accord Coupe EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I recently purchased a old 1995
Honda accord ex. The windows
wouldn't roll down so uncovered
both driver and passenger panels.
We Realized that the control module,
a DEI window control module, was
damaged and we replaced it. Soon
the driver side window was working
and the passenger side too. But
after, the passenger side stopped
working. We do have a look wire that
is just hanging and four wires that
connect. We tried to switch the
cables but it only either goes only up
or only down. How can I fix this and
is there something that I should do
with the fifth wire?

Have you tried an external(not through the switch) power supply to the wires of the non working window using jumper wires? If you attach a + and - wire to the window connector wires from a non switched source, the window should go down one way, then go up when the power is switched to the other feed wire inside the door that the window is not working. If the window works in both directions, your master switch on the drivers door needs to be replaced.
