How to get the brightest lightbulbs

Asked by Abigail Jun 24, 2020 at 03:36 PM about the 2017 Mazda MAZDA3 Grand Touring Hatchback

Question type: General

What are the brightest bulbs that I can for my 2017 Mazda3 hatchback. I'm
lost as to how people get it so bright that I'm pretty sure the sun is rising in the
sky. I'm an awful driver and have bad vision, especially at night. Advice would
be very welcome!

Stick with legal bulbs unless you want to blind people and get tickets.

I am looking for legal ones, im trying to figure out which are the brightest ones I can get without being legal without having to change the entire assembly. Is that were it gets illegal? How do I find out things like this? I tried the google but it wasn't exactly helpful since I don't know what I'm looking for.

Of course the obvious , have your prescription checked again if you have a problem at night. If you have the OEM HID lighting system, those are plenty bright. But if you have the Halogen's then yes, those are not very bright. To help and still be OEM, I would replace your halogen bulbs with Sylvania Silverstar Ultra's. They won't last as long as OEM, but will give you a little boost of light. Always keep the lenses clean too. A little bit of wax on them when you wax your car will help too.

Look up the head light bulb type you need and then do a search on Amazon. The are all sorts of lights that claim to be brighter. I have tried them and they can make a small difference.
