Why would Air Bag light come on in my 1998 Isuzu Rodeo?

Asked by Oct 15, 2015 at 11:38 AM about the 1998 Isuzu Rodeo 4 Dr S V6 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I moved seat adjustment (driver side)
as well as steering wheel adjustment,
could that have caused it? If so, how
do I fix this? Thank you!

Some component has failed, most common is the clockwork unit behind the steering wheel. You could check the connection at the steering column, you may have accidentally dislodge a connector when you moved the steering. If it is still there after you have checked then you will have to get the system checked over.

Make sure you dis connect the battery at least 20 minutes before checking the wiring or connectors, or you may get get a nasty surprise.
